Birgitta Rasmusson

Biography

Kerstin Birgitta Rasmusson, born September 4, 1939 in Ljungskile, Bohuslän, was a Swedish baking book author. Rasmusson studied at the Vocational School for Home Economics in Uppsala, where she graduated as a farm economics teacher. She worked at ICA test kitchens for 20 years, at ICA book publishers, and was involved in, among other things, compiling the cookbooks 'Rutiga kokboken' and 'Sju sorters kakor'. Rasmusson also worked as a consumer informant and test editor at Icakuriren. From 2012 to 2020, Rasmusson was a judge in the TV competition program ‘Hela Sverige Bakar' together with Johan Sörberg. She was one of the nominees at Kristallen 2020 in the category TV personality of the year for her participation in the program. On March 5, 2021, Rasmusson died after being cared for for a time at Stockholm's nursing home.
