David Trimble

Biography

David Trimble is a Northern Irish former politician who was the first First Minister of Northern Ireland from 1998 to 2002, and the leader of the Ulster Unionist Party from 1995 to 2005. Along with John Hume, he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1998 for his efforts led to the Good Friday Agreement in the same year.
