Biography

Already at the age of six, AURA TWAROWSKA began her musical studies (piano, mandolin and vocal arts) in her hometown Lugoj. After graduating from the University of Classical Music in Temesvar, she passed her master exam at the University of Classical Music in Bucharest. In addition, she also completed her finance, marketing and management studies. In 2010 she was awarded the doctor title of the National University of Music in Bucharest. In 1998 she made her debut as Carmen at the Temesvar Opera. In 2004 she was awarded the Medal for Culture and Art. She sang in Wagner´s Ring an einem Abend at the Wiener Volksoper and performed at the Wiener Musikverein. She sang Judith in Herzog Blaubart´s Burg at the Athaneum in Rumania. Her first performance with the Wiener Staatsoper ensemble was Marcellina (Nozze di Figaro) at the Wiener Staatsoper guest performance tour in Shanghai 2007. She debuted in the house on the Ring in 2007 as Gouvernante in a new production of Pique Dame. Since then she has sung roles such as Gertrude, Waltraute, Marzellina, Lucia, Mary, Schenkenwirtin, Suzuki, Teresa, Filipjewna, Emilia, Gräfin di Coigny, Lucia, Marthe, Kartenaufschlägerin, Larina.     http://www.wiener-staatsoper.at/Content.Node/home/kuenstler/saengerinnen/Twarowska.en.php
