Carlos Osuna
Biography
Carlos Osuna was born in Mazatlan (Mexico) and studied vocal arts in his home country as well as at the Cardiff International Academy of Voice. In 2009 he was member of the opera studio of the Basler Theater and took master classes with Grace Bumbry and Francisco Araiza as well as with Mirella Freni, Kiri Te Kanawa, Ileana Cotrubas, Jose Carreras and Sherrill Milnes. The tenor has received invitations e.g. to the Verbier Festival, the Welsh National Opera, the Opera National de Lorraine in Nancy, to the Festival Internacional de Santander. He has performed very successfully as Nemorino, Rodolfo, Pinkerton, in the title role of Werther, as Beppe in Pagliacci and in Aus einem Totenhaus, and recently Alfredo in Heidelberg to only name a few. Furthermore, Carlos Osuna is also a very successful concert singer. At the Wiener Staatsoper he has for example sung Abdallo (Nabucco), Narraboth (Salome), Gaston (La traviata), Tamino (Zauberflöte für Kinder), Der große Sträfling (Aus einem Totenhaus), Beppe, Tebaldo (I vespri siciliani), Scaramuccio (Ariadne auf Naxos), Narraboth (Salome), Hirt (Tristan und Isolde), Sir Hervey (Anna Bolena), Oberpriester des Neptun (Idomeneo), Nick/Joe (Fanciulla del West). http://www.wiener-staatsoper.at/Content.Node/home/kuenstler/saengerinnen/Osuna1.en.php
