Kasra Farahani

Biography

Kasra Farahani is a director and Emmy-nominated production designer. He is most known for production designing Season 1 and Season 2 of Disney+'s Loki. After earning his Emmy nomination for his work on the show's first season, he was brought into the writer's room for the second season, became a staff writer, and wrote the third episode, "1893,"  for which he also directed. Farahani has art directed many films, most notably Marvel Studios' Thor and Captain Marvel, Birds of Prey, Star Trek Into Darkness, and as an assistant art director on James Mangold's 3:10 to Yuma and Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. He is also a concept artist, having worked on Marvel Studios' Black Panther and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, David Fincher's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and the Emmy-nominated TV show A Series of Unfortunate Events. Farahani has directed two short films, Noon and Concerning the Bodyguard, and then made his feature directorial debut with The Good Neighbor. He then wrote and directed Tilt.
